Four Years Isn't Research

Phone face down when she walks in. Reading reviews on something I'd told her I'd never buy.
I've done that more times than I'd like to write down.
I used to call it being thorough. Doing my homework. Careful with money.
It wasn't. You don't research something for four years. Four years isn't research. It's waiting — for somebody to hand you a reason to hope that you could actually defend to yourself.
And the reason I never found one is that I kept looking in the wrong section. I was reading about products. What I needed was somebody to tell me what was actually broken.

RiesgoSi el tono suena a reproche — "te estabas engañando" — lo pierde. Tiene que ser él reconociéndolo, nunca alguien señalándolo.
