Somebody said one sentence to me last year and it reorganised eleven years of my life.
I'd been telling him the list. I do that — I tell people the list, because it's proof I've tried, and trying is the part I'm proud of.
He let me finish. Then he said: those are all the same product.
I said no they're not, and I started to explain the difference, and about four words in I heard myself.
More blood. More blood. More hormone.
He was right. Eleven things, one idea, wearing eleven different labels. I hadn't run eleven experiments. I'd run one experiment eleven times and written down the same result.
And the thing none of them ever went near is the reason all eleven did the same nothing.
